posted Dec 1, 2014, 2:01 PM by TC Administrator
It’s hard to believe we are a few weeks away from the end of first semester.  I have had a lot of fun, learned many lessons, and met some great people in my first semester as your superintendent.  Dress warmly, enjoy some rest over the holiday break, and hug your loved ones when you have a chance.  Here are a few of the major events to be aware of for the month of December:

Jan 5                           Teacher in service day

Jan 6                           Welcome back to school!

I would like to hear from you.  As a new superintendent in this community, I would like to hear from parents and community members about what they feel strongly about.  Our district is faced with some difficult financial decisions, and I would like to hear from you about programming, unique financial challenges, and our school/community priorities.  I and at least one school board member will be in each of our communities at the locations and times listed below.  If you’re available, please come visit with us.

Neola              Thursday December 4th, 7:00 PM at the NACC
Minden           Thursday December 11th, 7:00 PM at the Minden Bowl
Beebetown     Monday January 5th, 7:00 PM location TBA
Persia             Thursday January 15th, 7:00 PM location TBA

Thank you for sending us your students to work with and serve every day.  Helping students achieve their potential is what every educator loves doing.  The Tri-Center faculty, staff, and administration have enjoyed working with your students and are looking forward to a great second semester.  Please call, e-mail, or stop by one of the school offices if you have questions.

Dr. Tony Weers, Ed.D.
