Tri-Center Lego teams perform well at regionals; advance to state on January 17th

Two Tri-Center teams participated in the First Lego League regional competition held at Lewis Central in Council Bluffs on December 12th, 2015. The regional competition held at Lewis Central brought 28 lego teams together to demonstrate this season’s projects and to put forth their best efforts for completing the robot challenges.  Tri-Center was represented by two Lego teams, the Legonators and the TC Blockheads.  The Legonators walked away with the award for the top-scoring robot performance of the day and the Blockheads walked away with honorable mention for robot performance and the Champion’s Award.  Both teams performed well and are advancing on to the state competition to be held in Ames, Iowa on January 17th, 2016. 
 
The TC Blockheads are coached by Chris and Shiloh Corrin and team members include:  Alex Corrin, Karis Corrin, Kyla Corrin, Michael Denning, Brecken Freeberg and Olivia Matson.  

The Legonators are coached by Quint Franke and Amy Wohlers and team members include:  Joey Wohlers, Jonathon Franke, Joey Goins, Spencer Heine, Dean Robinson, Ray McPhillips, Rian Dau and Frankie Munch.
